Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is a return to a traditional sextet style, and a more consistent, stronger effort with a harder edge. Its more punk-rock sound was a reflection of the maturation of the group, with drummer Bobby Kimball's greater proficiency on the drums, as well as a more confident, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. Keyboardist David Paich's work also was sharper, more intricate and less cloying than earlier efforts.
